DuBois Literary Collective

The W.E.B. Du Bois Literary Collective was founded by Dr. Edmund W. Gordon of the CEJJES Institute in 2007. The Literary Collective is inspired and named after W.E.B. DuBois who was a black intellectual, sociologist, civil rights activist, author, historian, editor and personal mentor to Dr. Gordon. The purpose of the Literary Collective is to bring together the community and to discuss issues and topics that impact people from the African Diaspora. Literatures selected teach members about their history and ancestors’ experiences. Genres include non-fiction, history, historical fiction, biographies and on occasion fiction.
